Ahimsa Haven President Anne Eddy resigned October 30th. Ms Eddy said she resigned because she wants more personal time. She will continue to serve as the animal control officer in Winchendon.

 

 

 

Ahimsa Haven Executive Officers Named:
Marjorie Twiraga, Ahimsa's operations and adoption coordinator, has been named interim president.
Ms. Twiraga, started as a part time volunteer. She stated that she is looking forward to becoming the Ahimsa President and helping the organization achieve their goal of building an animal shelter.

Nancy Regan, Fundraising Coordinator, is the new Vice President. Ms. Regan will continue as the Fundraising Coordinator and assist the new President during this transitional period. She is also focused on obtaining Ahimsa Haven land and building an animal shelter.

 

 

 

4th Annual Ahmisa Haven Rescue Run/Walk

The Annual Ahimsa Haven Rescue run/walk/walk with dog race was held on Sunday, October 7.

More than 30 people competed in the annual affair and $899 was raised. Many contestants gave extra money because they know it is going to a good cause.

This fundraiser was a way to aid in the every day operating expenses. The money will be going into paying veterinary bills, as well as purchasing more pet supplies for Ahimsa Haven animals.

 

Site renovations are still in progress.
